The Hellmouth has now literally opened-up on the lawn of the White House.

White House lawn sinkhole – the Hellmouth begins to open!

Reporter Stephen Herman reported yesterday that he had noticed the ground had begun sinking on the lawn of the White House during the past week, and he posted a couple of photos as proof.

While Donald Trump claimed that he would “drain the swamp” in Washington, what he’s done is demonstrably the opposite: he has intentionally placed people with heavy corporate interests into positions of power resulting in putting the foxes in charge of the henhouses. The blatant penchant for corruption has resulted in the United States dropping considerably in democratic standards as measured on worldwide scales comparing countries’ levels of corruption. As an archetypal symbol of America, the White House itself is now forced to refect the reality of the collective unconscious as the swamp now literally and figuratively threatens to swallow our country’s most cherished symbols of democracy.

We thought there was no better description of this than the “Hellmouth”, a reference from Buffy the Vampire Slayer television series. As you may recall, a Hellmouth is a gate to Hell which can remain stoppered up if key people living everyday lives above it are diligently devoted to pursuing Good versus giving-in to Evil. But, when Evil starts taking over, the Hellmouth threatens to open up, which would result in the demons of Hell spewing out into the everyday world, and assumably tormenting regular people with little to stop them.

Can there be any other metaphor as apt for what’s going on in Washington and the White House, currently?!?

We think not. The results of Trump policies include:

• Tearing innocent families apart through harsh immigration policies;
• Reductions in health insurance coverage;
• Revoking financial laws intended to protect the country from financial meltdowns like we had in the Great Recession;
• Reductions in welfare financial assistance;
• Defunding of the arts;
• Shifting more tax burden onto the middle and lower classes;
• Revoking environmental treaties intended to reduce polution;
• Instigating trade wars that will result in increased prices in order to prop up less-viable and old-fashioned industries;
• Initially attempting to reduce sanctions against Russia which were put in place to discourage invasions of other countries;
• War brinksmanship with North Korea;

So, we’ve all seen the widening sinkhole and the increasing size of the swamp brought about by the Trump administration. Having the literal sinkhole appear in the White House lawn may be yet another “canary in the coal mine” indicator of just how corrupt and awful things are becoming.

If you’d like to chalk this up to coincidence, we’d like to remind you that EXACTLY A YEAR AGO, A SINKHOLE OPENED UP AT TRUMP’S MAR-A-LAGO RESORT IN FLORIDA! Big, gaping holes down to the netherworld just seem to follow Donald Trump around.

Let’s hope the expanding black hole in Washington can be stopped before it ultimately swallows the entire United States.
